Reflecting on our first 2 years

It’s been an incredible journey these first 2 years at Roots Community Health Centre,

We are growing one lesson at a time as a grassroots organization serving vulnerable newcomers (including refugees) in Surrey-North Delta. Here are a few snapshots from our executive team:

Educational Sessions

Our staff and care providers shared educational healthcare sessions through collaboration with our wonderful community partners.

One of our wonderful primary care providers, Dr. Haneen Abu-Remaileh enjoyed presenting to newcomers on the topic of primary prevention and importance of screening.

Reflecting, she commented: “We forget sometimes how fortunate we are to live in a country where primary prevention is promoted and feasible.”

Learning & Celebratiing Together

After one of our regular executive team meetings, we enjoyed celebrating our first anniversary since opening the centre’s doors in July 2018.
